Default Greetings from novice in Iowa

Just joined and I find the site very informative.
My wife and I restored a 53 styled JD tractor. I am now working on I believe 1946 model 72 Maytag. It was running when I received it. Needed tune up.
I have a JD 1 and 1/2 model E under the bench that Is next on my list to restore.

Thanks. I live by Davenport, IA.
You like the AC WC? Mom and dad each had one and in early years of farming both were in the field when they farmed. Bought a WD later. I remember how loud that two row corn picker was. Probably why I have hearing aids!
Dad went to all IH in later yrs. Mom still helped him in the field. Lot nicer with cabs and heat and air. I miss those days.
I have become interested in JD and have a 1953 styled AR the wife and I restored. I am now working on a model 72 two cylinder Maytag. I have a model E 1 & 1/2 JD want to restore.
Have a good day.

Thanks bob,
You need to visit the tractor show in East Viliage of Davenport. Deere Valley Collectors sponsor it. lot of machines there of all brands. It is in the fall August. I try to get my tractor there.
