Default Mall 2-man chainsaw, can anyone ID the year make and model?

I found this Mall at a friends house sitting next to the garage will be trying to restore it but there is no identifying marks besides the serial tags on the engine and transmission. A pic of the original color scheme would be nice also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you with a date on your Mall, but mine is Red in color. I never looked at the tag to see what all is on it.

My orange colored 11hp Mercury 2 man saw is stamped right on the tag with the year 1947 which is when my Dads Uncle bought it new.

The Mall looks loke a model 7 There should be a manufacturers plate rivited to the gas tank, above the starter The model # will be about center right side of the plate. The first number is HP, the second will be a letter a type number. Yours will be a G or earlier in the letter series, due to the fact that it has a wrap a rope starter.

What you have there is a MALL TOOL CO. Model 7 rated at about 6 hp- 12.19 cu. inches at 4500rpm 2 3/8 bore-2 3/4 stroke. These machines were made around 1948-1950 or so. I have many of them and will offer any help in your restoration. Do you need parts? Just let me know. I am using the same engine to power a bicycle project.

They were painted RED from the factory.

Thank you for your time,
