Default John Deere Paint

Im going to be painting my deere soon and I am wondering if anyone knows what additive I can put in the paint to make it shine. It is John Deere paint but its not going to be shiny enough for me Im sure. should I base coat clear coat it or is there something I can put it in the paint before I spray it.

Go to a good paint store and ask for WETLOOK HARDENER. I use it with JD paint and it looks like the tractor was just painted. (wet)

Be careful, using hardeners. Most require a respirator, with external air supply. Not good stuff, to breathe in. Ed

John Deere paint had me stumped for a while until I looked at the back of the can....I mixed it like "Drug store" paint you know 50/50 and got a terrible finish. I finally read the can and It says to mix the yellow at 1 part thinner and 10 parts paint and for the green 1-2 parts thinner to 10 parts paint.
My local JD dealer sells Valspar "RENEW" hardener. You mix this 8 parts paint and 1 part hardener. I got a great finish the last time I used the paint after I followed the directions!

hope that this helps
Matt
