Default Wisconsin VH4D starter Help!

I just purchased an older kohler generator with a vh4d engine, all I need is the engine. the problem is that the generator started the engine. i need to find a starter for it. I called a wisconsin dealer and they said that they don't make a starter for this engine. This doesn't make any sense to me because the flywheel has teeth on it and there are two bolts on the side of the block that looks like a starter could bolt to it. Any help would be much appreciated.
Specs:
Its a:
7.5RMW62, Spec 72850, s/n 011519
1 Phase, 60Hz, 120/240VAC, 12V start
Motor:
Wisconsin VH4D, spec 355251, s/n 5727202

Is there a big hole in the tin housing behind the flywheel with 3 smaller holes around it? If so, then your engine will accept a standard electric starter. I once took a gamble & bought a starter & alternator stator from a VH4 on eBay hoping I could use them on my TJD and they both fit perfectly.
Here is one that I found on eBay right now:

There isn't a hole in housing, I was going to cut a hole in it and weld a thicker ring around the hole. I know that wisconsin vh4d have about 4 different starters for these engines, some have 9 teeth and some have ten. How do I determine what I need should I count the teeth on the flywheel.
