Default New to the site. No engine..yet.

Hello from the alleged southern most community in Michigan.

I've been perusing the site for a little while and I am impressed with all the knowledge and helpful people here.

I don't have an engine yet, but I do want a stationary diesel of some sort. I missed the boat a few years ago before the EPA regs and I kick myself for it.

I have found an original Lister CS 5/1 that is seized and yesterday I took a drive to look at a chinese 1115.

OK. Enough blathering from me. Thanks for the wonderful site and I hope to learn alot. Heck, I may be able to offer some advice one of these days (years) who knows.

Go back and look at that Lister, again.... If you can get it cheap, it would make a GREAT Project.

Unfortunately I didn't see the Lister in person. It's posted on another site. I emailed the seller and he said it's still for sale. That's the good news. The bad news is it's over 1500 miles away and I don't have a passport to get into Canada.

Other than those 2 minor details, ( the miles aren't a real issue), I would seriously consider it.
