Default Rare Tractor & Neat Story

For the last twenty years my brother-in-law, who is in the dozer business, has been working on a place once or twice a year where an old Allis-Chalmers 6-12 sat just rusting away. Finally, last year he was able to acquire the tractor which had a tree growing through it. After cutting out the tree he hauled it home. The engine was in such bad shape it could not be used. After posting some ads and calling all over the country I finally found one in Michigan. At first the serial number meant very little as there are only around 35 of these tractors in the world and only about half of them actually run. Just having one of these tractors is something special! After reading Allis-Chalmers books he found out he had the tenth one ever made. This is the oldest A-C 6-12 known. Thought y'all would like this story. I will post pictures after it is painted. Thanks, Greg Ray
