Hi there everone
I'm new to this site, so don't know if i'm at the right place. Looking for info on a Crossley HD10 engine, ie- size, age & an idea of what its worth. Its a horizontal engine with a flywheel about 7ft diameter. Many thanks |

Hi mjs,
I'm not far from you at St.Agnes in Cornwall. I had a HD11 years ago. The HD stands for horizontal diesel, the number is the bore size in inches. The HD11 was 55bhp at 180 rpm with a curved spoke 7ft dia wheel and made in 1933. I guess the HD10 would be about 40 bhp at 200 rpm. Lovely engines. |
