Default Low Voltage Onan 7.5 DKD

My 7.5 DKD lost voltage down to 28 VAC, I sent it to a repair shop and they replaced, Voltage suppressor, Bridge Rectifier, Rectifier-Positive, and Rectifier- Negative. checked all main stator and rotor winding values plus the PMG. I picked it up and re-installed in my RV.

Problem: 120 VAC with no load, and drops to 100 VAC with 15 amps, and continues down from there.

This unit has a transformer regulator, any suggestions
Thanks Joe

My first idea would be to go back to the "shop" and have them finish the job they started. The transformer taps often have to be changed. Look here-

and

Maybe these two threads will give you an idea or two.

Thanks Wayne.
Problem with returning to the shop is the "cost" clock restarts, and they are guessing.
No load is perfect, but drops fast with any load. I know the tranformer taps are not conected the same now as when it was brought up them.
Is it possible a tranformer problem, and are electronic regulators an option?

The SHOP? said it was FIXED. IT WAS NOT. There should be NOT additional shop time. They need to finish the job or take down their "We fix generator shingle".

Thanks Kent
The shop appear to be ok guys, but are unsure of the problem. I spoke to them and are going to call me back.
They are very busy (it was in the shop for almost a month) we are sitting at home with this as the only holdup to heading south for the winter.

With Transformer Regulation, it is CRITICAL to get the Taps correctly set. If you happen to get them backwards, your regulation will work Backwards. (More Load, Less Voltage, instead of More Load, More Voltage) there are a set of procedures, in the manual, for setting these taps.

Thanks to everyone for your comments> I returned it to the repair shop, they called a couple of hours later and claimed the was nothing wrong with it. I returned and had them show me. it was ok They told me I must have a problem in my Rv (Bus). I return home , installed as normal and it is great.....so.
But it is working, and I am happy
Thanks again

Joe

It would be interesting to know how the transformer taps are configured now.
