Default I'm a New Hampshire boy

Is there room on this forum for a boy from Na Hampsha? Any others already here?
I've been interested in rusty old iron for all my life and am looking to get into the old one lungers. I have a guy offering me four of them which I hope to own soon. They are a Stover, Fairbanks Morse, Hercules and Lauson. All are ~2 HP or smaller, as best as I can tell.
Now if I could only get him to return my phone call
Anyway, I'm looking forward to participating here on Smokstak.

Thanks, Dan. Don't believe I know where Rochester is.
Ever go to the Pepperell Crankup? Second Sunday in July.
I have a little show here in Woodstock the 3rd Saturday of July. Love to have you come.

Who you calling an old fart you old fart???
Mike Ireland told me about that SC. Dang if I wouldn't like to have another one. That would be great to run the shingle mill with. Mine was a '44. Where did yours come from? I wish I still had mine. I loved that hand clutch. I know where there's one in Warren that will probably rot into the ground. I think it's a '49. You may know where it is. There's a shingle mill and a whole bunch of other neat stuff there that the owner doesn't seem the least bit interested in parting with and it's just sitting outside rusting away.
Lyndeborough is down in North Massachusetts ain't it?

Welcome to the Stak! You will note that we're nice around here and even welcome yankees to our midst.

Now, on the old fart thing..........Be polite, you old farts!

Thanks for the welcome, Elden. I like that name. And I enjoyed your website much.
Don't be mistaking us real Yankees for the ones that use the name and play baseball in the big city. There's not the slightest resemblance. You'll find we're more like you than those so-called "Yankees", I suspect.
Are you planning to go to the Flywheelers this winter? I'm planning to be there for the first day or two of the show in Feb.

Yes, I'm talking about Larue's stuff. He's got 3 or 4 items over there that I would like to have including that SC.
I don't believe I know John Dodge.
Are you talking about those Novos Steen has in that shed/trailer? That's what I was down there to look at when I saw you there a few weeks ago. They look pretty far gone to me. These ones I'm looking at have been kept under cover. Those at Steen's looked like they were left out in a swamp.

Lester:

I'm glad you enjoyed my web page!

I will most likely go to the Zolfo Springs show the week after the Flywheeler's show. Since I only get to make one of those spring shows, I've sorta gravitated toward Zolfo.

If you make it to Zolfo, I'll probably be driving The 2009 Algore Edition Hybrid Green Hoyt-Clagwell around the grounds.

I'll prolly haul The Homebrew Hvid there to stink-up the joint. (It can't be any worse than Maytags! )

Take care - Elden

I went to Zolfo Springs before I ever went to the Flywheelers. I believe the year was 2002. First time I went to the Flywheelers was the year after the hurricanes went through. Maybe '05? Also went in '08.
Hey, good news! I have made the deal for those 4 engines! Will be bringing them home Monday. Gotta go down to the shed tomorry and make a nice place for them. Probly have to kick a few mice out and maybe a squirrel or two and rearrange some stuff.
