I'm not familiar with that, but the usual line starts with "Bigger hammer...." Is it a dead head, or does it go through and through?

I'll be tackling one this week (hopefully). I'll let you know how I make out, and maybe what NOT do do if you haven't got yours out already.......

Ok, Jake, I have mine apart to reseal the steering box. My pin reluctantly came out, but be very careful! You must remove the pinch bolts, they are keyed into the pin. I also used a small machinists wedge to GENTLY spread the pinch part of each end of the castings. Don't go crazy with a large hammer, the casting on both ends definitely won't take that kind of abuse. The tube that is welded to the axle that the pin goes thru is bushed at both ends. The bushings only go in about 1.5 " so that is probably where you're hung up. I would heat the ends of the tube where the bushings are first. Something else you could do is tack weld a nut to the end of the shaft and try turning it, you may loosen it enough, then hammer away...... gently.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Once you get to reassembly, if you're doing it yourself, DO NOT USE YOUR FINGER TO CHECK ALIGNMENT OF THE HOLE FOR THE SHAFT! Ya know those neat cigar cutters..........Yeah... be careful or get some help.

Sorry Jake, thought they were all the same. The one at Rough & Tumble is the same as mine, so I can't help you. Good luck!
