Thumbs up Collecting Engines

I just retired and I'd like to start collecting some old engines. I have a small machine shop.I've got an old maytag model# 72 twin cyd. that runs and sounds great. I'm interested in buying a single cyl. maytag at a reasonable price.
I'm also interested in buying a couple of bigger engines.

Run an add in your local paper. You might find some close to home. There are lots of them for sale right on this site. Some of the prices are not too bad. If all fails start going to the spring swap meets in your area. The swap meets are listed here on this site. Good luck.

Welcome aboard.

You'll find lots of threads to search through with loads of information, and plenty of friendly people to help you out with any questions you can't find answers to on your own.

Check out the "Calendar Events" link from time to time to see what shows or swap meets are going on in your area to get more of an idea what's out there and what kind of price range you're looking into.

Gas Engine Magazine also has lots of 'for sale' ads in the back along with auction listings, making it another excellent resource to tap into.
