Newbie here.

I found you fellows searching for answers.

I'm just young enough to remember that I've forgotten too many things.

I don't have alot of this stuff, maybe 4 or 5 units.

With the advance spring broken, the timing will float, therefore you won't be able to set the timing. You must replace the spring, in order to set it right.
