47th Algonquin Mill Festival
When you’re looking for fall fun for the whole family, take a leisurely drive through the colorful rolling hills of eastern Ohio to visit the Algonquin Mill Festival October 13, 14 & 15, 2017. The Carroll County Historical Society will be hosting the event on their farm 4-miles south of Carrollton, Ohio just off state route 332.
The pioneer village setting includes working steam powered sawmill and flour mill, timber frame barns, stagecoach inn, railroad station, print shop and many other historic buildings from the area. Several local gas engine and tractor collectors will have interesting, working displays. Dozens of high quality crafters from all over the region are not to be missed either. From sorghum syrup to soap, or dulcimers to wrought iron, there really is something for everyone. For the kids: pony rides, mini train rides, mini barn raising, and a variety of farm animals to see and pet.
Famous for its old-fashioned homemade sauerkraut (many tons are sold every year!), the event also has a wide variety of foods available all day, starting with breakfast at 7:00am.
Admission is $8 per vehicle. Exhibits are active from 9am-5pm. Primitive camping is $15/night (Thurs, Fri Sat.). Tour buses welcome by pre-arrangement. Call 877-727-0103 for more information.
