Charm, Ohio 18th Annual Doughty Valley Steam Days Reunion
Calendar Events: Shows - Swap Meets - Antique Auctions
marion7200
07-26-2018 to 07-28-2018 07:00:00 AM to 11:00:00 PM
7am-11pm

Show Grounds: 5023 St. Rt. 557, follow signs (between Berlin and Charm).
Charm, OH 44617. The show grounds are located near Guggisberg Cheese on SR 557, one mile north of Charm in Holmes County.

Steam tractors, prairie tractors and antique gas engines will be in action all day long. Feature demonstrations will include steam plowing, steam powered sawmill and steam threshing.

There is merit in remembering the past, and keeping our rural farm heritage alive in our present day is what Doughty Valley Steam Days is all about. Of the many things that have made life easier, mechanization of farm work was a major step leading to the comforts we enjoy today. The Doughty Valley Steam Days preserves what future generations might take for granted.

Each summer, the organizers pull together collectors from Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania for the 3-day event with one goal in mind--to bring our history to life with active and interesting demonstrations of the work ethic and machinery that fascinates young and old alike.

Several local camp grounds & RV parks nearby

Details for 2018's show!
Some stories may be longer than others, but every tractor has a story. As a child, I sat on my grandfather's lap on this Model 60 to bale hay. The tractor has been a fixture on the farm for decades and is showing its years of hard work and dedication. Join us in 2018 as this tractor starts the next chapter in its story and tell us your story. The Waterloo Boys are collecting the stories of tractors to present at John Deere 2018 and we want to hear YOURS!

Stories can be submitted to show committee chairman, Jesse Knaub, at tractorstories@gmail.com
