It needs a little work as you can see. It's yours for the cost of shipping if you want it.

Got a nice little 6.5nh recently and with a little attention got it running and making power. Just need an electric choke control assembly. Anybody got a spare laying around? Also where do you guys go for new parts?

Toesmack I have a two 6.5NH. As a rule mine only want choked for about 2 seconds if that. Then i open the choke blade wide open. And its fine. That being said I don't use the electric choke. Only thing its used for is to hold tension on the choke blade holding it open.

I guess I should have seen that we had a parts sponsor, but oddly enough it is the site I looked at for parts.

As to the electric choke, I find that this engine likes plenty of choke. Once I get a new oil filter and fresh oil in it, and a new oil pressure switch, I will run it long enough to dial in the carb a bit more and add some drag to the choke lever. Governor now sometimes hunts until I stabilize the linkage by hand. Holds a load pretty well though. Also it's pretty much the smoothest running 2 cylinder ever.

You might take the carb apart and clean it out. Thats usually what makes them like alot of choke.

Looking for the metal compartment that houses the voltage regulator for a JC generator (YD generator series AB).
