I am sure it will go fine, providing of course Mother Nature stays out of the mix!!!

Given the cold and wind I don't think you have to worry about anyone else picking it up.

Was 0 deg few hours ago, now warmed up ...... 3 degs, but windy.

-7 deg tonight

By the numbers on the data plate is this a natural gas or propane unit?

I'm going to guess but most of the later JB's seemed to come with the multi-fuel carburetors. This one that you listed was built in 1987 and it is spec AD which is the late spec.

I have a half a day to run down to north haven to grab the JB. It has a tri fuel carb. A great muffler. The demand regulator is there. And a electric shut of solenoid. The enclosure has some rust and rot but nothing that can't be fixed. The wiring in the box is all cut except the 2 hot leads they are capped. The starter will not turn. But the engine does. I will have to pull the enclosure off to work on it. Even if it turns out to be just parts I'm happy to get it.

Having an original enclosure is nice for sure. Even if you used the enclosure on another machine if you decided not to mess with this one.

That's the main reason I wanted it. Enclosures for JBs are not very common around here.

Enclosure is nice, my JB is still sitting on trailer. I need the trailer back so hopefully I'll make a stand and enclosure for it this summer.

With latest snow storm I finally figured out a gen sitting outside under a trap is pretty useless without something to keep snow out of it while running and it's snowing sideways. Always assumed I could make an A frame from couple sheets of plywood, but seeing this last storm put an end to that falicy.

The place I bought the jb has a yellow holgar onan for $1500.00 hand crank. Also seems pricey.

The same trailer? Lenk

I'm the opposite in my end the country. JB's are scarce. I can build an enclosure out of Aluminum Tread plate no issue!

It's getting better. I knew when I got the JB it would be a problem moving it , but I'll figure it out. Worse comes to worse I can just hire a guy with a bucket loader to lift and move it. I've got plenty of heavy chain. Plenty of landscaping companies here that snow plow in winter. Little beer money will do it for 5 minutes of work

Thanks Ray, Previous owner unknown, it had a automatic transfer switch on it. But they wanted more than I was willing to pay for it. I'll see how it goes with it.

If at all possible build a small building to put it in. It is quieter when it is running, it requires much less maintenance to maintain it in ready to use condition. Also elevate it off the floor so it is more convenient.
