Default MEP 002 gen head good/ no voltage?

Hi, looking at the "saturable reactor on my unit, could this be the cause of no output? I have replaced just about everything else, thanks/ Ed

Normally with these sets if something small goes wrong they go to full voltage like 140-150 volts per phase. So if it is putting out zero volts then there is something deeper wrong. I had good success retrofitting one to a modern VR but you want to make sure the exciter/field is good before doing that.

Mine does this once in a while and it will be a broken wire somewhere. These things vibrate and the wiring being old they brake right at the terminals. The worst part about it is you wont see it broke because the wiring is secured together.
