You and me both! It's a bit to loud to load test at my buddies with the little muffler I had on it.. so I won't be able to load test it till it gets to it's final destination and installed with the 4 foot long muffler in a concrete room.. hopefully the white smoke clears up after some heavy loading.. I don't think it's ever had more than 60 amps to it.. so I suspect there is some carbon build up, that and the few min I ran it there was a few tiny wet stack drips from the exhaust around the clamped area.. Will be 3 or 4 months before that happens.. but I will update when I do..

I wonder if the transfer switch will be up to code in Florida..

I have loaded 3412 cats from oil rigs that took seven hours to clean up. But yours will probably will need just a couple of hours. Just be ready for lots of smoke.

I learned along time ago. If you fixed something and don't know how and nobody saw you. Keep your mouth shut and take credit for it

Nothing to it. To use a saying I penned 40 years ago it's merely FM.

First start up today.. primed fuel lines manually and it fired off without a hiccup..

The only issue is one of the water pump outlets that would go to a heater in the cab has a hose that closed off that is rotted a bit and leaking.. Will probably replace all the hoses and defiantly put the right coolant in it to prevent any corrosion inside the engine.

Good onan day!

On a bad note.. the permit office here in the keys is a major pita! The sheds I bought a month ago, I'm still waiting for them to approve the permits.. had to go in there 3 times.. one to redraw a square box that represents where the sheds will go, so there at least 10 feet from the property line, a week later has to go in again.. to talk to a geologist about rain water runoff erosion , have to dig a hole 3 feet by 6 feet long and a foot deep in the middle and fill it with small rocks so water can settle there and not run off the property and cause the soil to erode.. that was almost 2 weeks ago.. hopefully Monday they will approve it so the shed company can set up a time to deliver them, and they have to get a permit to do that, and have a police escort being the one shed is 12 feet wide by 20 long going down the highway.. fun!

Why did you leave California again?

A local shed place used to haul sheds much wider than that with only signs, no flags, no escort and no permits. Until CHP got ahold of them on the road one day, then that did not happen any more.

The usual procedure around here is to move things like that at about 5AM in the morning. When I built a shop here on my place, I called to ask about permits and the answer was "Do whatever you want to..."

I like it out there. Have done several jobs in California living on high per diem, travel allowances, etc. Think I'll go back about four times this next year.....

Don't hold back Joe, tell us how you really feel. I have been told by friends that live in north Florida that taxes and regulations are less than the populated areas
