Just to let you know that the resizing function on uploading photos has been fixed!

For a while, it had been timing out the upload window even though it had already completed the upload. Now it's all set. You can upload a full sized photo and the system will scale it back to a reasonable size.

Inline photo links to off-site photos are also resized to the width of the page now as well.

Enjoy!

Hi Harry,

Craig said you were working on it. I'm still getting this error---and the picture doesn't appear to be different than the others I have posted.

"Your file of 159.3 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 146.5 KB for this filetype. "

Thoughts?

Thanks
Beth

Harry - It took this old rooster a long time to figure out all this resizing business (jpeg format)! So now what do I do? Just attach pictures in whatever size they come and not worry about resize?
Thanx.
G.

Beth: Try it again and let me know how it goes.

G Willikers: If they don't need resizing, it won't matter.

G,
Keep in mind that if you have a high resolution/full size picture, you will still be uploading the entire large file, possibly 1Mb or more. Whereas, if you resize the picture before uploading it, the file will be smaller and transfer faster. If you have a high speed internet connection, it may not matter to you at all, but something to consider.
