Default Help with ID. Wis VG4D with Lema gen head

Just found this military 10 Kw generator with Wisconsin VG4D with a Lema Generator end. What I do know is that it has a built in transfer system. I removed the side covers to take photos. Looked it all over and I didn't find any "ID" tag. I would like to know the Model # of this genset. Any help would be fantastic.
Thanks Kieth

I'm no help to you other than the comment omygod what complexity!
Good luck with that one. The TM has to be 2 inches thick if you can find one.

i think it is a EMU 10. 10 kw. used by air force and air guard units. the control units were a "PITA"

WINPOWER were using a vH4d with their 10-12 kw. A vg4d can run more kw,;at 10kw ''il ronronne''!

Well, I for one LOVE that control panel! As long as there are no electronics anxiously waiting to fail, I'd love the whole thing.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to look up that model number.
Does anybody have a genset like this?

Yup, thats an EMU-10. I also have one that runs. Mine is from 1968. They are Air Force generators made by Consolidated Diesel Electric Corp (or company). I have only seen one other on Craig's List in Florida. I have been looking for manuals for years with no luck. I would love to have a new one with manuals. The VG4D is slightly different from the civilian version, but close enough. Engine manual is easy to find, but for the whole unit...never had any luck.

If you have questions, I'll try to help. You don't by chance have any literature?

Do you have a National NSN or Federal FSN number which starts with 6115 and will make Search to see if I have a manual in my collection of over 2,000 manuals.

Try: militarymanuals.com as they list a number of generator manuals listed-- Good Luck

The Air Force was kind enough to stencil the NSN on the outside.

Check With Robbins and Wright-Patterson Air Force Bases to see if they can help finding a manual.
