Default model 50-6609 army paint compressor?

Someone local has a Model 50-6609 army spray compressor with a spare brand new engine listed for sale on craigslist. I can't find a lot of information about it anywhere online. The manual says that it can power two spray guns at the same time, so you'd think it makes a fair amount of cfm. I need it like a hole in the head, but the price is right. Does anyone here know anything about it? High cfm, but low pressure? Would it be good for anything else besides painting?

The compressor part of that is a Smith V230- looks like they are still being made today, under a different brand.

Yes, the twin cylinder ones look just like the compressor on this unit. It has some sort of parallel twin gas motor to run it.\

Looks like a mil standard engine 2a016III. One on it, and one in a crate new.

Looks like Saturn surplus still sells the complete motor for $250. But the guy only wants $200 for the pair.....
