Default Little Old Heavy eBay Generator

Hello everybody, just bought this on eBay. Anybody have any information on this little guy? I'm thinking with the clamps and regulator it's for DC.

Youíve got yourself whatís known as a Tiny Tim generator built by Continental Motors. Some were sold by Montgomery Ward under the ďAirlineĒ name also. These were battery charging gensets and likely 6 volt. Some have the fuel tank in the base and others have a tin fuel tank mounted on top. All have a delicate little carb with a very fragile compensating or ďsnortĒ valve in a brass housing. Some have governors, but most donít. You will need to hook a battery up to it to run it since it has no magneto for ignition.

Wow!! Thanks for all that info. Also need to find out how to wite the spark plug. I'll have a better idea when I see it. Any value? I thought it was kind of cool so I paid $200 with the shipping included. Hope to be able to get it running I love little old generators. Not that I have any need for a 6 volt generator, oh well

Got a Feeling from everything I'm seeing it's probably missing parts like, valves. I don't see them Anywhere I don't see the stems in the pictures I have. Oh well, we'll figure it out when I get it

Iím sure the valves are there, you just canít see them since they are behind the little cover that houses the points to the left of the ignition coil.

Yes thanks they are there, I got it today I can't believe this little thing weighs 80 pounds! I just need to figure out where the spark plug wire comes from? I hooked up 12 volts to the two terminals on the gas tank and it whipped over fast. I got to figure out if it's 6 Volt or 12 volt? No markings

If it spun over real fast, chances are itís 6 volt, but the voltage should be marked on the regulator, usually on one of the mounting feet.
The spark plug wire should come from a high tension leadout on the ignition coil. I canít see the coil good enough in the photos to tell where it is or should be.
If you follow the link below to my YouTube videos, you will find a video of one of my Tiny Tim gensets sold under the Graylectric name that is very much like the one in the ad you posted. I think Iíve had 6 or 8 of these little buggers over the years.

Trying to think of a practical application. What did you use them for?
