I’ll post a pick of the oil rings when I have one out to compare. The new ones are a one piece ring still but it’s section thickness is quite a bit thinner. 0.130 if I recall instead of ~0.017

A package from EICBob arrived today! Big thanks to you Bob! Everything was well packaged and arrived without damage. These will look great on one of the old Onans!

Spent the day clearing construction debris from the new building and grading the floor/leveling gravel. Got the old Fordson, Fairbanks and the JC inside just as the rain started.

That old beauty with the steel wheels would be perfect for compacting your gravel floor!

Are you leaving that gravel floor, or do you have plans to pour a concrete pad over it?

Nice building, BTW. Needs some lights though. Maybe some hanging fixtures using the "old fashioned" bulbs with the long filaments? If you're storing historic stuff in there, might as well light the place with historic-style light fixtures

If you can get the clutch to cooperate some times with a cold Fordson stopping is an issue...

Gravel floor for the foreseeable future. Plan was “sheltered storage”.

Hi Angry...
I am glad the package arrived and that the meters are undamaged! I always worry when sending things like that!
I am looking forward to seeing them mounted and working monitoring one of your classic sets!

I think you need to relocate that garage to my property a.s.a.p. I ran out of room and urgently need it

There is never enough room is there? You just end up taking home more stuff

Good weather again today so I’m going to try to finish up the grading and some landscaping. I’m hoping in the next couple days to disassemble the Onan and fit the 0.010” over pistons. I’ve got some steel to build a stand for them to sit on when the base is removed I have to weld up also. Figured I’ll be working on more of these and they’re hard to handle when the base is removed... after she’s back together I’ll be making a disconnect/meter panel. I’m thinking a couple outlets, the meters EICBob sent me and some face mount thread in glass fuses I like to find an old looking panel with a knife disconnect but no luck so far. My father has a couple buried in his shop somewhere

Onan plans ever so rudely interrupted today by my lady friends well pump taking a crap. What a POS, impeller end bearing was SMOKED. I had a pump with a frozen housing and was able to make one from the two. Sad thing is my pump isn’t far behind and I’ve used all my pack ratted parts for hers chalk it up to “brownie” points I guess, she doesn’t complain about my engine addiction

Edit: I still cook better than her

Yeah think was 1/2 or 3/4hp? We have EXCELLENT fresh water fairly shallow here. No fluoride and I only drink rain water and pure grain alcohol. Preserve my “purity of essence”...

Plus note, water pressure has been restored

Looks like a shallow well jet pump. If you get a good one, it should last. Trouble is there are a lot of crappy chinesium well pumps out there these days. A well pump is not something you want to cheap out on!

Again a big thanks to EICBob, (keep your eye on the mail this week) and a big thumbs down to CRAPAZON... I know I ordered chinesium junk from them, but two packages arrived in the pics attached... I must say for a $12 meter, it’s not bad looking, the CT arrived smashed to smithereens though best part is both parts were made in China, one shipped from Germany and the other from London UK

It's no coincidence that Col. "Jack" D. Ripper (Sterling Haden) looks like Gen. Curtis "Bombs Away" LeMay.
