Default Cadillac Compressor?

Local auctioneer has this 2 cylinder Cadillac. We believe it is an air compressor, since the spark plug, and intake are not included.

That looks like a 4 cylinder Cadillac engine cut down to a 2 cylinder and turned into a compressor

That is what I thought. The 1912 era 4 cylinder looks like the two cylinders of this compressor. Thanks.
