I don't recall if it's been mentioned, but have you hydro-tested your tank?

I did a visual and a leak test with my pressure washer after sanding and wire wheel . The tank is about 1/4 inch think! I'll be running it at 90 psi most of the time.

Here's a few pictures of the hydrostatic testing I did on my 1947 tank. Held 300 psi for 24 hrs and hit the tank with a rubber mallet with no issues.
