Default Early 82 gas tank

I have just purchased an eleven fin model 82. Upon opening the container there layed the bottom of the gas tank in three pieces. This is the early style tank with the gas fill in top of the tank and not the bottom. As you can guess i am heartbroken.Does anyone out there have one or know of anyone that does.Mark Shulaw has been kind enough to look for me as well.
Thanks Bob Labs
