Default Richarson Grader

The County has just donated this Richardson pull type grader to us. It was built in Sasaktoon Saskatchewan. This spring I'll hook the WD 9 up to it.

That is a dandy, The county must have restored it before donating, can't beat that.

There was quite a bit of Richardson road machinery used in Saskachewan, They built pull type graders from a size for a 25 horse tractor all the way up to the heavy 16H pulled with a D8 size tractor. also motor graders built around cockshutt 40 and 50 tractors and some others, they sold BE GE scrapers they may have built them under licence. The sales agency in Saskatchewan was Richardson Fenwick.

The boys in the county shop did some work on but they didnt paint it. Im thinking it got repainted some time back a number of years ago. Seveal of our members worked for the county for years. Il have to ask them about it.

My dad has an originally horse pulled Richardson grader but itís been converted to tractor pulled with the hand wheels moved to the front of the machine like the later ones. He also has one powered by a Cockshutt 50 and itís Hydraulic
