Hi Wimpie,

That is indeed the same type of exhaust we have on our Regular . As we want to rebuild the center part (tube), would it be possible to make some detailed pictures? Maybe even from the inside of the tube? I think there should also be a mounting bracket on the back side, do you have this as well?

Regards, Frank

Thumbs up Re: Farmall Regular; help wanted

Hi Frank, Sorry for the late reply but I might have bad news bacause I found that the centre tube had been brazed at the joint and be sure some person had it been redone at some stage, any how I am going to give you the sizes as I found them.
Inner tube OD 66mm, length 210mm with 14 rows of holes in the length and 9 holes per row staggered to the followig row measuring 10mm and 20mm apart.
Outer tube 152mm in length.
I wonder what the designer engineer coments would be on these sizes!!!
The only part missing on the tractor is the driptray at the bottom of the carburator, any info about it?
The tractor runs pretty well with this exhaust.
Thanks and Regards, Wimpie.

Hi Wimpie,

Thanks for your reply, any dimensional info is welcome as till now I did not have any.

I will start building the exhaust on short notice and keep you informed on the progress.

Do you (or anyone else) know if there should be silencing material inside?

Hi Wimpie,

To come back to your question regarding the drip tray, I am pretty sure these parts should be available via used parts dealers like Biewer tractor parts (USA).

Maybe someone who reads this post might have one laying around..

In don't think any one has addressed the question of the drawbar with side brackets on it. They are most likely for attaching a sickle bar mowing machine like used for pasture mowing years ago.

Thanks for you reply, I agree it is most likely to be something like a sickle bar mower. I would like to "proof" it with pictures. And in the end it would be ultimately great to find the implement which fits these brackets.

It is for sure one of the first fast hitch/snap coupler like solutions!

It has been quite some time since this topic was active. At the time the mystery of the hitch remained unsolved, but about half a year back we found the answer. Thought I might share it.

On the Nordhorn 2017 show we found a (French build) Vendeuvre tractor with mounted Viaud plow. It looks like the hitch is part of the plow mounting. See attached pictures. Again a confirmation that our regular spend it working life in France.

Last but no least I have added a section view picture of the Regular export muffler from the original German part catalog.
