The UD 16 is a 6-cyl. version of the UD/TD 9, so there should be some commonality of parts, I would think. Internal pieces like rods & pistons may interchange, although I don't have parts books to confirm that. Obviously head & pan gaskets won't be the same, but that shouldn't bother the King. . .

where about do i get parts for the adams grader and will be looking for gaskets and maybe parts for the ud-16 IH motor.

The UD16 is basicly a 9 series with 2 more cylinders tacked on. So that might help source a few parts. I ran Wabco graders when I was in the dirt business. The last dealer I dealt with was Vulcan equipment in Winnepeg MB

thansk guys, i have been working a little too hard and when the email from the BB arrived today i decided i better take time to work on the 550 adams.

i used the 922 cat loader to drag the 550 adams up to the shop so i could pop on a set of tires. the 3/4 impact had no troubles with the 1.5" socket headed bolts to get the wheels off. i then soaked a few things down with used oil so they will be easy to remove later on.

Had there been some particular part of the grader that had failed? Or do you know yet.

the grader was used to build a runaway at a remote lodge, then in 2009 we went and recovered it.

the motor had water down the exhaust so the heads will need repairs.

it was a good day on friday night, i popped the heads off to find fresh water in #1 cylinder hole. this is because the tin can covering the exhaust rusted through with pin holes. oh well a little more work, lol.
