Very nice examples. The Johnson looks to be an A-25 or an AB-25 but hard to say w/o seeing a front view. Production followed the A (first production engine for Johnson)which ran from 1921-1924. The A-25 was produced in 1925 & 26. This engine would be 2 hp.

Well tag says A-25. As to value, it is not worth much cause you inherited it. Now if you had any time or sweat in it, it could be worth something, however you would not be asking because you would not want to sell it.

Sorry, however I read posts all the time of people that are only interested in selling what has been given to them. Maybe you are asking to see if you need to add them to your homeowners insurance policy, cause you plan on keeping them.

I am asking incase someone else might need to add them to THEIR homeowners insurance policy. But for now, they will be getting added to mine, so if anyone has experience in said appraisals, any help with an approximate number based on model, year, and condition, would be much appreciated

Those are beautiful; most likely they never looked anywhere near that good when they were new!

You might want to post over at AOMCI.org. Although it would be more for the gratification of the folks there than any assurance that you will get $$$ values from them either.

Something is worth what another will pay for it. That's why ebay is so successful at getting top $$$ prices for things that have no easily established value. Let the marketplace determine the value.

What is countless hours of your relative's labor and skill worth to someone else? Who knows?

If insurance valiuation is what is prompting your inquiry....just look around ebay and see what similar "pretty as hell" motors have sold for. Thousands I'm sure. Insurance is usually based on an item's replacement cost. What you have is pretty much irreplaceable.....so just insure it for an amount that makes you happy.

Just think; the oroginal owner of those might have taken their kid fishing with it....thereby laying the foundation for a solid father-son relationship for the rest of their lives. That's what I love about the old stuff.....

Well I already stepped in it so...What about daughters, or that supper Mom that took the kids fishing? I thought playing catch was a dad/son thing. Fishing, I have seen lots of women that can out fish anyone around. Had one that was my baby sitter as a wee kid, never had the chance to fish with her. Probably good for my ego.
