Default Is this a fuel pump?

My brother tossed this in the scrap bin but it tweaked my interest. Does anyone know what it's from?

Boy, that is strange! Might be some kind of oil pump, hydraulic pump? In any case if you can't identify it, just put it on Ebay and describe it as "rare, vintage and hard to find".

It'll sell immediately..........

Looks like part of a sealed refrigeration unit. Cut open and motor taken off.
