Going to say something more about this halter.

The halter is missing the upper large plume but the small hole for it is still to find.
So it realy had belonged to an early Amsterdammer horse sleigh.

Only horsesleigh halters had plumes and funeral horses.

In the years there been some leather parts changed by newer but the main part halter is still original.

The Cowry shells are from the most early models with the ribbon mounth.
The lather Cowry shells does not have ribbons enymore.

An perfect horse halter to hang on an Amsterdammer horse sleigh from the golden age.........

Today we have been working on the horse bells hanger.

First clean and polishing the old bells.
Brought new leather oil on.
Then polish the silver hair holder buckets.
Washing the tassles.
Fixed the old rope line cords.
Repair the and infilled the missing shells.

There is one huge bell missing that that one wil be fixed next winter.

Pulled the other antique horse bell hanger out of the horse sleigh museum and lay them next towards each others.

You can realy see now of what is the most oldest one and model.

Have been working on the horse head halter.

The horse head halter was having some realy heavy damage like broken leather parts an missing shells.

Have took shells off from the halter that where hidding after dubble lays of leather where the leather cross over each other and place them on the missing spots.

Also drilled tiny holes on the end of the broken parts of leather and sew them with tiny ropes against each other again and then placed with other small leather parts on the back to have more strongnes....

Also placed the chicken feather plume on top with the super rare ancient side plumes.

And here is the end result........
