If this machine has been sitting for any length of time I would do as suggested by jb before proceeding further. If you have stuck valves there is a good chance you have bent push rods, I ran into this with a air compressor about the same vintage.

This might sound impossible, but I would make sure there is no wasp or mouse nest up in the intake manifold. I repair magnetos and I find wasp nests inside when it appears there is no way they could get in there.

Didn't have much time to advance in my project since it's the winter haul.... but took time today and still no gas getting into engine so I took off intake all seems good nothing block and valve working like they should. Next step is im joint to empty gas since it's more then 2 years old and see if it will atomize more.

Derek, I used to own a 1010 gas machine like yours, but I sold it some years back. I think I still have an owners manual for it around here somewhere. I know I have the hood for it. I bought 2, one running and the other for parts. Was a good running machine.

Finally got the time to get back into the shop .... after all winter scratching my heard ... finally it was my firing order that was off ... I must of mixed it up two years ago , but now she running ....
