"DP" obviously stands for "Disc Plow"!

Sorry couldn't resist, I honestly have no clue, don't see many disc plows in this part of the country.

I bought a Moline 5 bottom rope-trip to restore and moved it up into the yard last fall. I have been collecting parts and planned on going through it this year.
We have had a very brutal winter here and the only thing I have seen for many weeks is a pair of handles sticking out of the heavy snowfall....at least I can see where I put it!
Guess I will not get to it for some time yet.

That looks like an International plow. Are you sure the part number prefix is "DP"? There was a "CP" prefix which meant Chattanooga Plow Works.

I could not find the pictures of the plow.but there is a video of it on [old and new tractors in the spot light] I've never sein a plow like it it's a three bottom with the third one folds up. you had the option to plow two or three furrows. If anybody has any imformation on it I would be glad to hear from you thank you.

I'm gonna say the plow was NOT an IHC-every piece of International equipment I've ever seen was PLASTERED with "IHC" on EVERYTHING.

Ramey,
So this fold-up-two-or-three bottom plow you speak of is an I.H.C. plow?
I have never heard of or seen one and am guessing you have a fairly unusual plow. Would love to see pictures or any information on it...anyone...

Taking a break and petting "Momma" barn cat one evening when I turned to see the sunset through a pair of plow levers.
I dumped Momma and ran for the camera so I could try to show you all what I saw. Just one of those little moments that I think people should embrace...I did

I'm in the process of restoring a John Deere No-4 plow with bottlecapwheel. I was wondering how much wear all the moving parts have, ofcourse these units have plowed a lot of land, but I saw casted holes with casted surfaces they put a shaft through with some wear when they where new from the factory.
I will make it better than new.

Someone having parts for these plows? I am looking for a good somekind of bracket fitted on the furrow wheel axle.
Casted number is D-745 A or D-743 A (difficult to read).
The one on my plow has been broken and has a lot of cracks, so I need a good one!
I tried David Wolfe, and Tyler the plowguy but they didn't. Maybe someone of you stakkers have laying something in the woods or so.

Thanks Gerrit

Gerrit,
Nice resto work on a great old piece of JD history in posts #69, 70, & 71. I am always watching for antique plows as I am very fond of them. If parts turn up maybe someone will PM you.

Ramey,
All I can say is WOW...
Never have I seen a plow like yours in post #72. There should be some identifying markings on it somewhere. I.H.C. was good about placing there logo all over there product line.
Part numbers can help with ID also. Maybe someone here will know.
Thanks for posting something really unusual for all of us to enjoy!
Tony

Hy Tony I took some more pictures of the plow and the tractor pulling it . I did not get the trip wheel to work properly but I did sink all three into the ground and make the titan do some work.

Great thread, Tony!! Not sure how I've overlooked it for this long!

I like and am as fascinated by the old implements about as much as the old horsepower!

Here is a pic of one of my very favorite old Moline plows! I've never seen a plow like this - that is this big - anywhere else - and am not sure what year it would have been produced or what it would have been designed to go behind. It is a heavy old thing!

I don't have one of these, but I'd really like to find a survivor. The castings on the levers are rather unique.

Rock Island 4-14 dad just got hauled home from kansas. need 3 coulters and a casting on its been broke, brazed and broke again in a new place that will have to be dealt with. We have a 3-12 thats just a little small for the larger Rock Islands, so this will be a nice compliment behind any of our F, FA, H5 and H22. I know of one other 4 bottom, and its missing the 4th bottom and is pretty rough. Hopefully now we can find one of the earlier chain lift plows. The ad is from a late 20's catalog.
