Gene,
What wattage do you have in mind?

Also, as a hot air engine typically has a wide speed fluctuation, are you planning to even the speed out with a flywheel, etc?

Are you looking for a vintage/antique unit, or something more modern?

Gene..
That little engine won't produce much power. I would buy a small "Ajax" or similar Bi Polar motor and modify it to generate electricity. Maybe use a LED lamp. Also once in a while a Marklin generator shows up on Ebay mainly ran by a model steam engine. Several makers made them..mainly Germany but they are out there. Good luck It won't light your home but will provide great fun.
