Default Hello from Somerset!

just figured best to start with saying hello before i start picking everyones brains!

aspiring engineer/mechanic (yes i can fix things as well as fit new parts! )

current project is a vehicle that will allow me to be practically self sustainable (home on wheels) only cost being diesel/mot/tax. has got a 1100ah battery bank, 3.5kw pure sine inverter with 100a charger, soon to add 1.2kw solar, central heating and calorifer for hot water. soon to add 1000L fresh/grey tanks. and 250L black waste tanks.

need to find the most efficient way to charge 12v battery bank. quietly, but efficiently. or just use my petter aa1 and an alternator but i think chassis mounting that might be asking for a few more vibrations than id like!

anyhow. going to mention to my neighbour that its 5 am. and i would like to sleep at some point tonight!

Welcome to the Stak Toby, not only are the members here a wealth of information on all things mechanical, they can also give some great ideas for bad neighbor retribution
