Default Recharging Magnets on FH Briggs

Advice needed to recharge magnets on the flywheel of an FH Briggs and Stratton gas engine. A friend has a charging device that used on various magnetos, but is not configured to charge flywheel magnets. Thanks

You need to get the proper pole pieces in order to charge the magnets. They will fit inside the flywheel and make contact with the magnets. You will have to note polarity. If you reverse it, the magnets will discharge rapidly. Your best bet is to contact a good mag shop and have them recharge it for you. No guesswork, and they have the strong chargers to do the job right. there are several sponsors here on the Stak, that do mag work and re-charge magnets.
