I bought some flame arresters, they are designed to prevent flash back explosion fires. I have decided to place them on the tanks.

I always leave the door open, and the torch is no longer leaking.
I always weld outdoors on concrete. I tend to also leave the torch outside till everything is cool.
I always turn off the tank valves. It is a list I follow in my head. I even go back and check after finishing up.
I do not use the torch as an everyday normal working thing, so I am more aware of being careful with it.
So I am not concerned, I have a working technology and personal habits that aids me, helps prevent my idiocy. I do have my idiotic moments.

Got them and they look real nicely made, heavy.
These do have a check valve, they only flow one way.

I had the oxygen set too low for the big tip.
It was on 50 kpa which is 7psi, too low.
Not enough oxygen pressure it burns in the torch.

that setting was working fine for the much smaller pencil tips.

He lights the torch with oxy slightly on, which I also do sometimes.
