Default Leduc West Show July 24,25.

Are any Alberta Stakkers going to the Leduc West show this weekend (July 24, 25)?? Rick Schmitz and I are going. They are featuring Massey Harris this year. Rick is taking his Massey 82, and I took my '30 Massey/ Wallis over today. I will probably take over some more 'iron' tomorrow.

Phil,

It would be great to be there, just to see that 30 of yours starting & running again.
I'm sure all the gang on this site would quite enjoy seeing it as well.
Very impressed on how easily it started on the hand crank.
Thanks again for the shop & Grain elevator tour a few weeks back. Much appreciated.

If you get time post a few photos & a clip of that 30 of yours starting & running (not even a puff of smoke out of the exhaust) after how many years?

Enjoy the weekend
Bill

Here are some pics of the Leduc West show.

The tractor that seemed to get the most attention at the show was a little 1921 Lanz that had just recently arrived from Europe to a local collector.

I took my '29 Allis 20-35, Wallis 12-20 and '30 Case C to the show. It was a great weekend.

The Cat 60 belongs to Bill Graham.

This is an Allis HD9 crawler with a Baker dozer. The dozer is welded straight across the front of the frame and the whole tractor chassis is lifted up from the tracks by a pair of hydraulic cylinders. A wierd setup!

Another unusual tractor was an International "WD 18". This tractor was custom built by a local Alberta farmer in 1950 by mating a TD18 crawler engine to a WD40 tractor He extended the frame with channel iron to fit the engine and farmed with it for many years. It's now owned by a young fellow who knew the original builder.
