Default Airco Wasp model 2.25A/DDG-AMEL-A

Hello long time lurker first time poster. I have an older Airco Wasp model 2.25A/DDG-AMEL-A serial number T436731 welder/generator and am trying to find any and all information action to get it back running. It has an Onan CCK-MS/1196G with the serial number 127CA08117. I wasn’t sure if I should post about the Onan in the Onan generator forum or here. If I have generator specific questions should I post here or there? I’ve just started taking apart the generator as I have no idea the last time it ran. So far I have tore apart and cleaned the carb and have started looking into the ignition system for the generator. It is a battery start model so it has a starter relay, ignition switch and start button. It looks to have the 6 volt coil and I will post about that later.

I also have an older Wasp in the barn, its a project for another day. Really nice little compact machine. I would say this is a good place to find info on the little Wasp. its actually a generator that also welds.

Your machine was the same as some of the early Miller machines. go to the miller website and look up info on the Legend series or AEA machines IIRC.

A lot of people here with way more knowledge than I. they can answer most any question you have.
