What a shock indeed. Ed will surely be missed here on the Stack. I know I will miss him.
I always enjoyed reading his posts. He was always so helpful to everyone and his off topic posts were always thoughtful even if I didn't always agree with him. My prayers are with his family. |

I was checking through some folders that I store things on that I want to keep on my computer. I saw a Nov 19, 2013 unopened in my projects folder marked
"927-500" and it is a CCK manual that Ed sent me when I was New to the site. I opened it tonight, it had the pdf in it and it said, "here ya go, ed" He didn't know me from Adam and yet he took time to send me a pdf and a short note. I belong to MANY sites from this one to BMW motorcycles. This site has some of the most GENEROUS and Un-Selfish folks on it that I have ever encountered. Almost ALL are very knowledgeable as well and all are willing to help if they can. I Really liked what snowshoveler said in the bottom half of his post: "Right there Ed is teaching me and many of you yet again. Take the time to spend with friends and family. We don't know how long we are here and when we are gone its too late. I kick my self now for not at least taking a long weekend and dropping in for a short visit. Ed will be missed by all here I am sure and the world is just a little worse without him." Our COUNTRY/World is being drastically changed by "Those powers that Be". People hardly take the time to Be Nice to one another. There is still a bunch of Good Old Time AMERICANS here on this site. |

It is truly amazing that while I never met Ed in person, I felt like he was a friend. When I had my CW, he was always available to help trouble shoot and provide words of encouragement. When the CW had to be parted out, Ed received the majority of the spare parts that he needed and both of us were happy. Prayers to the Sparks family. Ed will be missed by many. RIP.

I always thought that Ed's forum name was a Pseudo name "Sparks"
I thought he did it because of the "sparks & arcs" in the upper left corner, funny how his real last name was also part of what he enjoyed doing! Yes after reading that article about him, you can see he helped a lot more people than his board, he truly was a pillar of his community, and will be missed by all! |

He was always nice to me even if I asked dumb stuff...now that takes patience and the making of a Great guy!!!
Didn't know him personally, but always read his replies because I knew they would be full of good information on the subject being discussed. Prayers to his family. |

My condolences to his family and all who knew him. I didn't know him personally but from his posts and replies I could tell he was a great person. I always looked forward to reading anything he put here and I will miss him for it - it's as if a mainstay of the Stak has just been lost.
