Too many people leaving us - whether family or friends...

RIP Eldon and hopefully our paths will cross in another time and place.

I did not know the man, except through Smokstak, for which he was an active and welcome participant.
The poor guy had a tough go, what with a hurricane which destroyed his property, having to have a sale, and the health problems which led to his passing.
Best wishes to his family through all this and may Elden rest in Eternal Peace.
Rick.

RIP Eldon. Although we never met in person, we met here on the Stak, and I shall always remember your knowledge and courtesy. My condolances to your wife and family, you will be sorely missed.
Andrew

Anyone know if Elden's website info is going to be saved? I see it is still up, wondering if we need to start copying it?

You need to contact Harry, I think he knows about what you ask.

It has been saved, but any action is up to Elaine. -- Harry

"I got a call from Elaine DuRand (Elden's wife) this evening. She needs help selling Elden's engines and shop equipment. It all needs to go as the remains of their home is going to be torn down. He had a vertical milling machine, machinist lathe, other small tools and equipment. If you have any interest in any of these items see pictures at www.eldensengines.com, please contact Elaine at elden@eldensengines.com, or call her at 850-899-zero three four three.

She also said his web page was hosted for the next year, not sure after that. I told her folks had been asking about its status. Hopefully we will get a chance to preserve it when the time comes.

Just happened onto this one day when word was posted of Elden's passing and I did a random Google search. Quite the talented man. https://patents.justia.com/inventor/elden-e-durand
