Here is the Mother of all plugs..and probably the beginning of people getting electrocuted while trying to pull it out.

i'd say old industrial plug, maybe 220 v early on....

ID:	339096 The item in your first picture is a 1930s vintage WRIT AC voltage regulator. (dimmer switch) The numbers in the little window are degrees of adjustment. If it didn`t electrocute you it could burn you when you touched it. AL .
