Wonderful, Wish I would be closer to be there on these work days. Might learn stuff being around those experts! If those guys were around here, most of my iron would be flawless! Weather can't be much worse than it's been around here this season.

Today was a cooking day for me! I didnít get much work done! But Luke,Dean, Jesse and Glynn got a lot accomplished! I have attached a picture of the Igniter linkage. There is a lot of parts there. Dean studied pictures and parts books to get everything together correctly. Not many tractors around that still have this one year only ignitor mechanism. Before I left we bolted the radiator down on the Avery and fitted a new throttle shaft and throttle plate in the Tilsoil. John has the truck painted for the Case power unit. It wonít be long before parts for it start showing up from welding and machine shops.

Yes, there should be a matched pair of them. They're beautiful and more than helpful!

We had a real good time last weekend and the fellows got a lot done. Kelly was the head cook of Klub with all the fixings along with Steve McKool and Freddy Peterson's help. Dale and I peeled the potatos. We missed Montana Slim but he claimed to be sick but I have a feeling that he was scared of Dean due to political differences and he knew Dean had access to a two by four

Glynn has been busy drilling holes on lugs for 14,28. New manifold on along with oil cooling pump and some plumbing. Wont be long and fenders will be on.

Been good progress on 14,28. Radiator assembled and set on frame. Fender fitment and bolted on. Waiting to put on exhaust biped before the right one goes in. Aver is not far behind either.

What is the green paint you are using on the 14-28?
It looks great.
Thanx.

We had a nice spring day yesterday! I took the opportunity to go down to Crosby and put the transmission back together for the Case Car. Work on the Rumely and the Avery are coming along nicely! Dean has the Ignitor linkage all fine tuned and hope to see it run on start up day!

Next Sunday there is a fundraiser at the Moose Club in Crosby for the Historical Society. They will be serving a traditional Norwegian dish.....Klub (potato dumplings) with bacon and ham along with salads and other dishes. There will be a Gun raffle as well.

Fundraiser for the Historical Society went very good today! Had lots of people through the door! Crowd appeared to be up from last year! Sorry Luke you missed out!

After the Klub was cooked and eaten, my Daughter Shelby and I went to the shop and put the transmission back into the Case car. We made a run the to Courthouse for a test drive! Snapped a quick picture with courthouse for back ground! We would have washed the car first but the water was frozen in the bucket! LOL 32 degrees today! Transmission sounded great with the newly cut gears installed!

Well the engine is back in the Flour City! Not complete yet but sitting in place! It was ornery all day! Thanks to Dean and Josh for helping getting the engine up and into place.

Dean and Josh also took the head off of Charlotte Mehmke's 20-35 Rumely to free up a stuck valve and one piston. Glynn Orwick is giving it a good cleaning in the photo. This engine has a spoked flywheel which John says is kinda rare!

The 14-28 Rumely is getting close to completion! Possibly on start up day in a couple weeks.

John, Dean Lemer and Dale Howard can be seen working on the Case power unit. It has received extensive work with many different shops pitching in! Cylinders are bored, New Babbit, Crank case has been welded up......heads are reconditioned. New Radiator...And many new engine parts cast and machined. It will be a nice addition to the Case feature and this years show!

Progress has been good over the weekend. Avery near completion with gas in the tank for Sunday, Waterloo boy also has gas in the tank. The Waterloo came in as a frame with wheels. Michael and Henry had done the motor and transmission and didnt take long to get together. Kelly continues work on flour city.. I think she will make smoke today as well.

This little m from mehmke museum was stuck on 1 cylinder. Cylinder was freed up a couple weeks ago. We pulled the pistons to free the rings, went thru oiler and head, and carb. Surprisingly the mag had nice spark. Got her put together and running.. and runs pretty darn well

Thank You Jon!

I will start with a little Simmons family group of photos. John and Henry discussing some of the projects. Henry has done numerous jobs for John and others. Rebuilding engines and had just installed the transmission Henry rebuilt in the Waterloo Boy. Sam and his Dan Micheal are taking it for a drive in the next photo. Sarah was my helper and helped out threading pipe. She did ok with 1/4 NPT but needed a little help with 1 1/4 NPT. She was helping Scott Moyse under the Flour City by putting Pipe dope on the fittings and on Scotts fingers! The e generations of the Simmons family are active at Crosby and at other shows as well! It is good to see them starting early and gaining interest!
