Well the tractor is in primer after way too long of being in the shop I'll upload pictures tomorrow. My question is does anyone have a paint code for the 40-62? I'm getting decals made and after all the time and money I want to get it the correct color not just a green cheap paint and ih red wheels any help in this department? Thank you

Does it have a George White & Sons tag? GW sold quite a few Huber tractors.

Thanks Baker Maker for looking that up.But somehow I gave you the wrong no.My tractor is actually 9164 stamped 20-40 on trans top left with engine no.273112 Stearns D U.Feeling pretty silly for mixing up the no. I think 9453 was listed for sale somewhere and my record keeping leaves alot to be desired so gave the wrong no.Hope it is not too much to ask you to look it up again.Cheers Don

George White & Sons maintained their main Western branch house at Brandon, Manitoba but also had a branch house at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Not sure of their dealer network, if such existed back then but have testimonials for the Huber Light Four tractors and George White threshing machines in different locations in both Provinces, 1927.

Adam,

By the wheel style it looks like an 18-36. If so, it should have a Stearns AU engine. This should be marked on a tag on the engine block.

Some more good info here:

Serial number would be a good start. Does it still run?

Ok the tags are still on it so I'll take a picture when I go back to it. yes we had it running 2 weeks ago and before that it had sat in the shed for roughly 15 years.

I go take some more pictures hopefully over the next few days. But for now I have some numbers... Engine # 276407 and the other plate had # 8469. Can someone tell me more about it? Or is there a page I can go to look up serial #?

Steel-wheels.net shows tractor as a 1927 18-36. One in AB two serial numbers lower.

Thanks for looking that up. It cool that there is serial numbers so close together. And info for all makes too. Looks like should be able to find out the same info on our hart parr as well!

Looking at a few pictures and seeing a few different shades in the paint colors? Mine is a faded Tan ish green and I'm sure it's likely not the proper color. The fenders and hood are in very good condition so I would like to get decals for it and paint it. I saw a paint code earlier on in the thread. Would it be what I need? I'll attach the only other picture I have right now... thanks for everything

First show for the 40-62 it was funny pulled into show with it chained down dad counted roughly 45 people watching in awe laid dovetail down and 3rd quarter she come to life people were amazed how it runs I just wish the gentleman that sold it to me was still alive to see it now. It wouldn't have come together without help from you guys on the stak....... your network and plethora of knowledge is amazing and priceless to the younger generation like myself my hats off to you all for making this come true for me.
