Just wondering if there is a way to get more than 12.5 amps out of each 120 electrical outlet .I also got a plug for 240 .

Sorry, but that's what it is rated at, and from looking at the wiring diagram in the manual, there is no way to connect the two 120v windings in parallel to give you more 120v current.

I realize that ,but seems to me a 3500 watt generator should have 15 amps available ,used to have a 1400 Honda and 10 amps was available .Even the 2200 model has 15 amps at the plug.

Normally you do not load up a circuit more than 12 amps.
Sounds counter to what you might think but above 12 amps a 15 amp CB or fuse is on a count down to trip or blow. Things are designed this way to prevent overloads from damaging things but they also allow you ot draw a little extra current for brief periods to start a load like a pump or furnace. |

Very true 12.5 amps will cover most things and it has two circuits.ike that ,but my older model one that got stollen had a switch that you could flip from 120 v only or 240 v ,seemed like a better setup.
