Default Massey Harris 82

Hi All,
I picked up a little Massey Harris 82 4cly petrol a while ago, and was wondering if anyone could date them s/n 435565. Also about how many were made as I have heard that there wasn't many made, but this could be wrong. The only bad part is I am missing the grill and engine side covers. Can you get them from anywhere or would anyone have a set for sale?
Thank You Russell

Gday snu 82s great little tractor i had one they punch far above their weight, yes they did not make many about 1200 from memory as for the year going off your serial number it looks like yours came in on the same boat as mine 1941. panels tend to be a bit difficult i made the side panels that were missing on mine and fitted a 101 grille they seem to be a bit easier to come across.

Distillate is an US name for kerro. the 81 was a straight petrol and the 82 kerro. what makes you say yours is straight petrol ?

kerro is a form of less refined diesel i think

England,Paraffin /TVO (Tractor vaporising oil a bit different to paraffin for tractor use ) 28sec heating oil is a form of paraffin

Australia Kerro/ PWR Kerro i assume this is the Australian equivilent of parraffin/ TVO

US Distilate Fuel Oil

A lot of petrol Kerro tractors will run on diesel when hot enough i myself chucked 5 gallons in a fordson N when running low on TVO smoked a bit but ran fine. i also ran a W6 on diesel just to see if it would and did but was a bit gutless due to not being warm enough
