Default 30hp Headless Witte

Hello all! I am fairly new to this site but not to engines. Anyway I saw a video on youtube of a 30hp hopper cooled headless Witte. Its easy to find if you search a few of those key words. It also has a little info about it, that it is 1 of 2 known and they were special order. Now here is my question, can anyone tell me when it was made or how/where to look to find out?
In advance, thank you.

Default Re: 30hp Headless Witte

Hi Jeremy,

I have read in the BYB that they were special order but I am not sure where this comes from as I have a couple pieces of original Witte sales literature from the early 20's that list to 30 HP engine. There is no mention that they are special order. Here is some info on them.
250 rpms
5000 lbs
11" bore
16" stroke
55" flywheels
$665 for the keroseen model (in 1922)
$625 for the gasolene model (in 1922)

I know of 3 and have been told of a 4th one. I am sure there are more out there.
