Default 30hp Olin

30hp Olin gas engine. Learned how to start and run this engine during the show at Rollag. Started and ran it for awhile last Saturday for a little music while I was brushing gear lube on the bright work on the rest of the engines.

Dont worry Rich, someday you'll have a high speed connection and you'll be swamped with videos to catch up on.

Ooops! I lied. Many years ago a lady came into our building and saw the Olin. Talking with her she said she needed to make us a sign. Which she did. It's basically a vinyl sign with the head view with the manufacturer name of the engine and both locations the engines were made. She said her family made those engines. I don't remember her name so I don't know if she was an Olin or married into it or what. She made the statement that every Olin in America were related to each other. As it turned out there was an Olin family reunion in Fargo and she said that arrangements had been made for every living Olin to be in Fargo for the reunion. That made the Fargo paper and everything. Yes, the sign is still hanging up behind the engine.

Very impressive engine! Hot tube ignition and a gasometer! When it is time to run mine I am going to be asking a whole lot of questions on how you fire it up...
