hi ...i can't believe there is no witte experts out there!!...i will try again, did witte stamp their serial # anywhere on the engine..thanks again..and thanks to harry for this great site...kent

My 4 HP headless has the number on the governor end of the crank as well as on the gib key to the flywheel.

My 1916 2 HP has the serial # stamped on the edge of each flywheel. Al Wait
